Quick Recipes with Oats

Oats are so nutritious and packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. They are a great source of carbs and fibre. Oats are so versatile that they can be adapted to any recipe, not just the porridge oats. Below are a few of our favourite recipes using oats, and even better, they are quick to make.


Overnight Oats


INGREDIENTS

50g Oats

2tbsp Fat Free Natural Yoghurt

1/2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder made up with 150ml of water

Handful of mixed berries

METHOD

Mix the oats with the protein powder mixture and leave to soak in t he fridge overnight. 

Top with natural yoghurt and mixed berries.

Oat Pancakes


INGREDIENTS

100g Oats

125ml Water

1/2 scoops of Vanilla Protein Powder

1 Banana

2 Eggs separated

2tsp Baking Powder


METHOD

Mix the oats, protein powder, water, baking powder, banana and egg yolks in a blender until a smooth batter is formed.

Whisk the egg whites until soft peaks are formed and gently fold into the batter.

Cook in a pan with a little oil until he base sets and bubbles appear. Flip over and cook for a further 1 minute.

Protein Flapjack


INGREDIENTS

120g Oats

60g Protein Powder

125ml Water

100g Peanut Butter

15g Honey


METHOD

Mix the oats with the protein powder, water, peanut butter and honey. Spread onto a baking tray and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. Cook in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown and cut into 10 squares.
